Medical bribery commonplace in Hungary

Sure, some health care systems are “free” … that is, if you don’t count the bribes.

When giving birth to her second son in 2004, Magdolna Vincze payroll contributions into the state insurance system weren’t enough to guarantee the medical care she needed, she said.
